The 2022 Eastern Conference Finals is now finally set. The Miami Heat will host the Boston Celtics to see who will advance to the NBA Finals. The Heat took down the 76ers in six games to advance. In an amazing series, the Celtics defeated the defending champion Bucks in seven games. This will feature the top two seeds in the Eastern Conference. The health of key players could determine the outcome of this series. Kyle Lowry is still dealing with hamstring issues, and it has forced him to miss significant time. Robert Williams of the Celtics has missed time with a lingering knee injury. Miami haven’t missed a beat without Lowry, but it would be a boost to have him available. Williams entered the playoffs with uncertainty because he was injured towards the end of the regular season. Who will advance out from the Eastern Conference?
The Heat is arguably the best defensive team in the NBA. Miami was always known for being tough on the defensive end. During the offseason, they added P.J. Tucker from the Bucks. The addition has done wonders for Miami, and it could’ve been the demise of Milwaukee. Jimmy Butler has arguably been the best and most consistent player in the playoffs. The Heat seem like they’re on a mission to finally get the title that eluded them in the bubble. Can Butler continue his stellar play? How will Bam Adebayo play against the like of Al Horford and Robert Williams? Can this Heat team contain Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown? Will Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson be factors in this series? Can Victor Oladipo find it in him to be the X factor in this series? Will Miami reach their 2nd NBA Finals in the last three years?
The Celtics are coming off a tough, gut-wrenching series against the defending champion Bucks. Boston was arguably the hottest team in the second half of the season. Jayson Tatum has proven to be one of the best players in the league during that stretch. Jaylen Brown is an amazing scorer and one of the better defenders on the wing. You combine that will Marcus Smart, who just won the defensive player of the year the Celtics are great on defense. Robert Williams should be healthier in this series after sitting Game 7 of the last series. If Boston is to advance to the Finals, Tatum and Brown will have to come up huge in this series. Grant Williams stepped up in Game 7 against the Bucks, who will step up in this series? Can this Celtics group finally make it to the NBA Finals?
Who Represent the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals?
The Miami Heat have the homecourt advantage in this series and that will be huge. The Celtics were able to win in Milwaukee and they’re one of the better road teams. We all talk about how great the defense of the Heat, but Boston isn’t too shabby either. This is a series where I can see it going the entire seven games. If so, will the Celtics have enough in the tank to go another brutal 7-game series. This will be an amazing series and I’m thinking homecourt will be crucial and that’s why I’m picking the Heat. Miami Win Series 4-3
