9 Things Triple H Has Done Right Since Taking Over

My love for professional wrestling or sports entertainment goes all the way back to the mid-80s. My great uncles got me started watching it when I was around 7 or 8-years old. There are still great memories of watching WWF, NWA, AWA, WCCW and a few other territories. Bonnie Blackstone and Joe Pedicino used to host Saturday night wrestling that highlighted all wrestling. As you can see, I’ve been a wrestling fan for a very long time and continue to be. My love for wrestling was slowly dwindling as Vince just didn’t have it anymore. On the flipside, AEW started up and it was great at first, but it has dwindled also. The wrestling world was shocked when Vince retired and Triple H took over the creative side of things. Ever since Triple H took over, I’m been impressed. Here are 9 things Triple H has done right since taking over.

Focus On Intercontinental Championship

The Intercontinental championship has long been a staple in the WWE. The championship usually went to the hardest workers in the company. The last few years with a couple of exceptions the mystique behind the title was gone. Ever since Gunther has held the title, it has been elevated and it feels important. Gunther and Sheamus had that instant classic at the Clash at the Castle Premium Live event. It was rumored that Vince soured on Gunther and who knows what would have happened if Vince was still in charge. Gunther is headed down a road where he’ll be looked at as one of the better IC champions ever. Did you also see the video that featured some of the greatest moments in WWE history involving the championship?

Better Storylines

The storylines have been amazing. The first one comes to mind is the current one involving Sami Zayn and the Bloodline. That continues to be the highlight of weekly wrestling. The newest craze is the White Rabbit mystery they have going on. Many fans speculate that this is the returning Bray Wyatt. Whoever or whatever it is, this is keeping fans on their feet. Matt Riddle and Seth Rollins have been at each other’s throats for a few months now. It has only gotten better and now we will have the return of Fight Pit at Extreme Rules. Dexter Lumis and Miz continue to shine in their feud where Kumis continues to haunt the A-lister.

Better Wrestling

Ever since Triple H took over, we haven’t gotten a bunch of matches on the Premium Live Events. We have a few matches, but all of them have had an ample amount of time. Raw and Smackdown have had their fair share of matches with a lot of time also. We love being entertained, but as wrestling fans we love the in-ring work just as much.

No More 24/7 title

The 24/7 title was meaningless and it resulted in some comedy on Raw. We haven’t had any segments involving the 24/7 championship since Triple took over. Triple H is still figuring everything out and hopefully that championship doesn’t make an appearance again.

Focus on United States Title

Just like the Intercontinental Championship, the mid-card title on Raw has gotten some attention. Bobby Lashley has been built back up and he’s coming off an impressive title defense against Seth Rollins. The United States championship also received a nice video package to remind everyone of its prestige. Let’s hope that moving forward this continues. We would also like to see Lashley in a meaningful feud for the United States Championship also.

Let The Ladies Do Their Thing

With the return of Bayley, she brought Io Skye and Dakota Kai to form Damage Ctrl. The return happened at SummerSlam and they have been on fire ever since. Kai & Skye have captured the Women’s tag titles and Bayley is challenging Bianca Belair for the Women’s title in a couple weeks. The women’ tag titles is meaningful, plus we have storylines with other ladies also. Liv Morgan, Ronda Rousey, Shotzi, Asuka, Alexa Bliss, Rachel Rodriguez, Aaliyah and Toxic Attraction all have gotten TV time. We still need a Shayna Baszler push, plus we are anticipating the returns of Sasha Banks, Naomi and Charlotte Flair.

Re-Write Some Wrongs

During all those “budget cuts” the WWE released a lot of great talent. Dakota Kai, Braun Strowman, Dexter Lumis, Karrion Kross, Scarlett, Hit Row, Johnny Gargano and more to come were brought back. There are rumors that Sasha Banks, Naomi and Bray Wyatt and many others could be returning to the WWE.

Create Excitement That’s Been Missing

Starting Monday, I’m on many websites checking out the dirt sheets for the latest news. The past few editions of Raw haven’t felt like a chore to watch. To be honest, those 3 hours really fly by fast because I’m entertained. With Smackdown, it’s the same thing and my excitement hasn’t been like this in so many years. I’ve already purchased my ticket to see the Day 1 Premium Live Event when it comes to Atlanta on January 1st.

We Now Have Some Tag Teams

We all know that Vince wasn’t a fan of tag team wrestling. Triple H is a fan of great wrestling and tag team wrestling can be amazing. In a span of a couple of months, we have gotten some great tag team wrestling. Imperium reunited, we have the Brawling Brutes, Street Profits, Alpha Academy, Viking Raiders and New Day. They all are viable contenders to the Usos and their Unified tag titles. At the end of this past Smackdown, we could have Imperium, Brawling Brutes and Usos fighting over the championships.

  1. I抣l right away grab your rss feed as I can not find your e-mail subscription link or e-newsletter service. Do you have any? Kindly let me know in order that I could subscribe. Thanks.

  2. Thanks for the a new challenge you have unveiled in your article. One thing I’d like to discuss is that FSBO interactions are built as time passes. By releasing yourself to owners the first saturday and sunday their FSBO is announced, ahead of the masses start calling on Wednesday, you make a good network. By sending them tools, educational supplies, free accounts, and forms, you become an ally. By subtracting a personal interest in them plus their situation, you develop a solid network that, many times, pays off once the owners decide to go with a broker they know and trust — preferably you.
