Chubb Rock Treat ‘Em Right for Throwback Thursday

As we continue to celebrate the 50th anniversary of hip hop I’m trying to highlight some classics that get overlooked. Last week, the classic I Got It Made by Special Ed was my featured track. We will highlight another legend from the late-80s and early 90s and it’s none other than Chubb Rock. Chubb Rock is known now for his popular radio show. The radio show highlights classic hip hop from the 1980s to the 2000s. The Legendary Hip Hop storyteller Chubb Rock is the producer and host. He’s joined along with Tha Needle Droppas, DJ Frost, DJ Feel X, DJ Chill Will and DJ Ant B. The one-of-a-kind weekend show highlights the rich history of Hip-Hop. You will also get some unique inside stories in the music and entertainment. Before all of this, Chubb Rock was a respected MC with a commanding voice and a nice flow.
Chubb Rock released a total of six albums with five being dropped between 1988 to 1997. In 1991, Chubb Rock released his biggest and most influential track called Treat ‘Em Right. Treat ‘Em Right is a classic record and my Throwback Thursday and it’s off his album titled The One. The One was a good album and one that doesn’t get the props it deserves. On this album was the first time hearing the Lady of Rage. As we all know, Lady of Rage became famous a few years later Death Row Records and the Above the Rim Soundtrack. Check out the video for Treat ‘Em Right up above. Below you can peep at the track listing and stream link for the One album.
