Isley Brothers Mission to Please You for Throwback Thursday

The Isley Brothers are synonymous with classic R&B. They put out their first album all the way back in 1959. In total, they have dropped 31 studio albums with the latest one coming last year. The Isley Brothers have been putting it down for over an unprecedented 60 years. A couple of years ago, they took part in the Verzuz competition with Earth, Wind & Fire. After Ronald Isley played Mr. Biggs in R. Kelly’s Down Low remix, the Isley Brothers were in demand once again. In 1996, they released their platinum selling 27th album called Mission to Please. Mission to Please is the last Isley Brothers album to feature youngest brother Marvin Isley, who left the group in 1997 because of complications from diabetes; he died on June 6, 2010. The album saw the Isley Brothers work with newer artists like R. Kelly, Keith Sweat and Babyface.
Mission to Please was an amazing album by the Isley Brothers. It showed why many people consider them as one of, if not the greatest R&B group of all-time. Mission to Please featured a lot of great hits, which make it hard to pick for as my Throwback Thursday track. Mission to Please You will be the track, but there could have been at least 4 or 5 others for the spot. Check out Mission to Please You up above. Below you can peep at the track listing and stream link for the album.
