As we get older, most of us are trying any and everything possible that will improve our health. Being that I’m someone in my mid-40s , you can rest assure that I’ll be looking to improve my health. Over the last couple years, I’ve tried a little bit of everything possible. Now that we are finally starting to get warm weather, it’s time to make smoothies. You can invest in any type of blender, but I’d recommend getting a Ninja Professional Countertop blender. The Strawberry Banana Sea Moss Smoothie is currently a favorite of mine. Check out what’s in it below and it’s followed by the benefits of each of ingredient.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2- 2 frozen bananas
- 1 cup of strawberries
- 1 tbspn flaxseed
- 2 tbspn strawberry flavored sea moss gel
- 1 cup of milk ( I used almond)
- 1/2 tbspn peanut butter
- 2 tbspn pineapple chunks
Directions:
After adding the ingredients, blend them together and then enjoy it. Below are the benefits of each ingredient and you’ll see how beneficial they are to your health.
Bananas
As we all know, bananas are very rich in nutrients and contain a good amount of fiber. If you are having issues with your blood sugar level they can help improve your levels also. With warm weather around the corner, you may be thinking of dropping a few pounds. While there’s no correlation to weight loss, but it has attributes that could help in that area. Bananas have a great source of potassium which is great for your heart also.
Strawberries
Ever since the Covid-19 pandemic, many people have been paying attention to their immune system. Vitamin C is one of the best source for immune health and strawberries have plenty of it. They are also great for eye health as they contain antioxidant properties that prevent cataracts. You can eat them to help with those pesky wrinkles and they fight off cancer also. You can also take them to help with your blood pressure and inflammation.
Flaxseed
By adding flaxseed to the strawberries and bananas you’re getting more nutrients. Flaxseed is rich in ALA, a type of omega-3 fatty acid that may offer numerous benefits for heart health. Flaxseed contains nutrients called lignans that may help decrease cancer growth. Some studies link this food to a lower risk of several types of cancer, but more research is needed. You may also use it to add fiber to your diet and lower your cholesterol.
Sea Moss Gel
As mentioned before, there are many benefits to adding sea moss to your diet. There are many ways for you to use sea moss. For my Sea Moss Smoothie, I’ve opted to us the Strawberry flavored sea moss gel. If you’re wanting to use it on a more regular basis there are other ways to do that. Sea Moss capsules is used on a daily basis, but you can use the dried sea moss itself also. You may opt to use it in soups or stews or even vitamin gummies. Sea Moss helps with weight loss, gut health, thyroids and much more.
Almond Milk
Some people used regular milk and that’s fine depending on what you like. I’ve been using almond milk for a minute now and it’s something my family loves. There are more benefits to replacing your regular milk with almond milk. Almond milk is rich in vitamin E, which is an important antioxidant. Vitamin E can help lower your risk of serious health conditions like stroke, heart disease, and even cancer.
Peanut Butter
I’ll be the first one to tell about how much I love peanut butter. Peanut Butter is something that I’ll take to work and just eat it by itself. It contains protein, magnesium, phosphorous, zinc, niacin and vitamin B-6. If you’re not a big fan of peanut butter, no worries because you’re only using a half a teaspoon.
Pineapple Chunks
My entire family loves pineapples and just like other fruit, they are healthy for you. They are loaded with nutrients, helps with digestion & inflammation and immunity. While adding pineapple chunks to your smoothie is great, you could also eat them by their selves.
As you can see, the Sea Moss Smoothie is full of nutrients and ingredients that are good for you. Honestly, the taste is really good also and it takes no time to make. What do you think about the Sea Moss Smoothie? Have you tried it before? Leave some feedback below.

A lot of these “vitamins” actually come hidden within other foods like fruit juice concentrate (which isn’t really a vitamin at all), so it makes sense why our bodies need small quantities each day: just enough to keep things running smoothly without causing any harm.
