Snoop Dogg Da Game is to be Sold, Not to be Told Released 25 Years Ago Today

Snoop Dogg is arguably the most recognized rapper of all-time. Snoop has dropped an amazing 19 studio album throughout his 30 year career. If that’s not enough, he’s also put out a total of 25 mixtapes and three EPs in the process. Everything came full circle when Snoop purchased Death Row Records, which is where he began his career. It’s rumored that he and Dr. Dre and working on his 20th album together. This would be the follow-up to his BODR album, which stands for Bacc on Death Row. Snoop released his first two albums on Death Row. The iconic Doggystyle and his Dogg Father albums were dropped before leaving the label. Snoop Dogg signed with Master P and No Limit Records where he dropped his next 3 albums. Da Game is to be Sold, Not to be Told was the name of his first one on No Limit.
Da Game is to be Sold, Not to be Told was released 25 years ago today. The album faced a lot of backlash for its No Limit sounds, but the album was good to me. The album is one of the albums on No Limit that you should have in your possession. Even though people didn’t too much like the album it still went #1 and double platinum. The first single was sort of part two of Nuthin But a “G Thang from the Chronic album. Still a G Thang was the first single from the album and it was one of the many highlights on the album. There were no artists from Death Row who Snoop worked with before on this album. Like all No Limit albums, there were a lot of the No Limit Soldiers featured on the album.
Many people have tried to put other Snoop projects against Doggystyle and this one is nowhere near that level. Either way, Da Game is to Be Sold, Not to Be Told is a solid project in my eyes. Below are my top 5 tracks from the album, the track listing and stream link to the project.
