The Notorious Big is known by many as one of the greatest rappers of all-time. Unfortunately, his life was cut short back on March 9th of 1997 when he was a victim of a shooting. This took place in Los Angeles after an awards show. The Notorious Big had only released his classic Ready to Die project at the time of his death. They were prepping the release of his Life After Death album, which was released a little over two weeks later. Despite having his life cut short so early into his career, he put together a nice catalog. The Notorious Big Greatest Hits was released 20 years ago today. The greatest hits album went platinum after almost selling 180 thousand copies in the first week. The album featured tracks from his two albums, duets joint, Junior Mafia, and the posthumous Notorious album.
