Week 11 is in the books and many of the power rankings have the Kansas City Chiefs as the top team. The Chiefs beat their division rival Chargers on the road on Sunday Night. My Week 11 NFL predictions was much better than the previous week. My record was 5-2 and the overall mark went to 62-36. My winning percentage rose from 62.6 to 63.3%. Tennessee beating Green Bay on Thursday Night was one of my losses. My thinking was that the Packers were going to ride the wave of beating the Cowboys the previous week. The other loss was not seeing the Detroit Lions going to New York to beat the Giants. The biggest surprise of the week had to be the Cowboys demolishing the Minnesota Vikings. The Los Angeles Rams continued their downward spiral by losing on the road to the New Orleans Saints.
In a defensive struggle, the Patriots used a punt return with five seconds remaining to upend the Jets 10-3. The big issue moving forward with New York is the status of Zach Wilson as the Jets signal caller. The Commanders are winners of 5 of their last 6 after defeating Houston. San Francisco is looking like a legit Super Bowl contender now. The 49ers defeated the Cardinals 38-10 on Monday Night and Jimmy G. tossed 4 TDs. With this week being Thanksgiving that mean we have a triple header. Overall, I’ll be predicting a total of 6 games with the hopes of increasing my winning percentage. Let’s Get Started!
We start with the first game on Thanksgiving Day. The Buffalo Bills will play in Detroit for the second consecutive week, but this time they’ll face the Lions. With the snowstorms in Buffalo last week, they were forced to play in Detroit. In that game, they defeated the Browns 31-23 to break their 2-game losing streak. The defense felt a little off, but Josh Allen was efficient and didn’t toss any picks. Detroit enters this game on a 3-game winning streak. The Lions stunned everyone when they went to New York and pulled off the upset over the Giants. The offense is one of the better ones in the league. On the other hand, the defense rank last in scoring and that could be an issue against Buffalo. Bills Win 34-21
We have an NFC East battle with the winner taking over 2nd place in the division. The New York Giants head to Dallas to battle the Cowboys. After starting 6-1, the New York Giants have dropped two of their last three games. Last week, they were upset by the Lions at home, but this team is still overachieving. Have the Giants hit their ceiling? Can they avenge their first loss of the year by beating the Cowboys? Dallas opened a lot of eyes last week in their beat down of the Minnesota Vikings. The week prior they were upset by the Green Bay Packers. Dallas is looking to continue their winning ways as they’re looking at the top spot in the NFC. The Cowboys usually play well against division foes and should win this one. Cowboys Win 31-20
We have a matchup between two teams that look like their playoff bound. The New England Patriots travel to Minnesota to battle the Vikings. The Patriots defense has proven repeatedly that they may be the best in the league. During their 3-game winning streak they have given up a total of 23 points. Can this Patriots defense humiliate this Minnesota offense like Dallas did? How about the offense of New England? Minnesota is wanting to put that embarrassing loss to Dallas behind them. The Vikings offense is too good to have bad offensive outings two games in a row. This should be the best game on Thanksgiving and one that could go either way. I’m riding the Minnesota to barely edge out the Patriots. Vikings Win 23-21
We head to the AFC for this matchup that we could see in the playoffs in January. The Cincinnati Bengals travels to Nashville to battle the Tennessee Titans. The Bengals seem to have hit their stride over the last month. They have won 4 of 5 and during the four wins they have scored at least 30 points in those contests. The defense is still a work in progress as they’re giving up almost 28 points over their last 3 games. After starting the season 0-2, the Titans have won 7 of 8 games with the loss coming against the Chiefs. The defense continues to heckle opposing offenses with an immense amount of pressure on the QB. Derrick Henry continues to be the catalyst of the offense and he could have a solid game here. I’m picking Tennessee at home to win. Titans Win 27-20
We take things back to the NFC for a matchup with two teams with playoff hopes. The Atlanta Falcons heads up north to Washington to battle the Commanders. The Falcons had their 2-game losing streak snapped after a win over the Chicago Bears. Atlanta remains a half game behind the Bucs for 1st place in the NFC South. They are also in striking distance of a potential Wild Card spot. The run heavy Falcons rank almost last in passing and the Commanders will focus on that. The Commanders have won 5 of their last 6 games including that win over the Eagles. Chase Young remains day-to-day as the team awaits his season debut from injury. This will be a battle between a pair of feisty teams, but I’m going with the home team to win. Commanders Win 26-21
We have the Sunday Night game as the Green Bay Packers head to Philly to battle the Eagles. The Packers have loss 6 of their last 7 games and Aaron Rodgers is dealing with a broken thumb. Should the Packers consider playing Jordan Love the rest of the season? We know Rodgers is one helleva competitor and will not go for it, but maybe they should. The Packers formula is one that could spell trouble for the Eagles. Despite their 9-1 record, there is cause for concern in Philadelphia. They haven’t looked the same in their last three games. Last week proved how valuable Dallas Goedert is to this offense. Can they fix those issues against this tough Packers defense? I’ll give Philly one more shot before pushing the panic button. Eagles Win 30-20
We head to the AFC for this Monday Night Football matchup. The Pittsburgh Steelers head to Indianapolis to face the Colts. The Steelers have lost 3 of their last 4 games and seems like they’re fighting for draft positioning. The offense is having trouble scoring points. On the defensive side, they are giving up a lot of points also. With T.J. Watt getting healthier, he should haunt Matt Ryan all game. Will it be enough to score the upset? Indianapolis are losers of 5 of their last 6 games. They also have issues with scoring seeing they rank almost last in the NFL. The defense is one of the better ones in the league. This could turn into a defensive battle on Monday. I’m picking the veteran QB in Ryan to lead his team to victory. Colts Win 16-13
